The Girls
The Roomies: Geta (Mom), Rebeca (2 year old) and Abigail (newborn not in picture)

Our colleague and friend, Geta, is in the midst of a family crisis which has led her to separate from her husband for a season. Three days prior to the crisis coming to a head in this family, the Lord spoke to Sue and said, “You are getting head of me again; stop trying to anticipate my plans.” So, she abandoned all the plans for the ministry home and prayerfully waited for God to act. It is not necessary to share Geta’s entire, personal story, but initially her husband left; at which Sue flippantly offered to move in and help with the expenses. Since Sue had laid down her plans and was in a season of waiting on God’s leading, she was ready for Him to lead anywhere. At the time, Geta was so overwhelmed, she couldn’t even responded. However, four days later Geta called Sue and asked if they could get a place together because she needed to move out of her apartment. Through much prayer and council with our ministry overseers, we all were in agreement that this would be a good fit and Geta started looking for a small apartment for just the two of them.

Needless to say, there was nothing suitable in there price range. Since Sue had left the house-ministry plans in God’s hands, they were not looking for an apartment big enough for the ministry. THEN, God acted! As Sue was looking on line for other apartments to check out with Geta, she came across the ad for our home. Sue laid out a fleece, “Lord, if the landlord speaks English, I am going for it.” and the rest is history. We signed the contact two days later. Geta and her two girls were settled in the very next day. God had no intention of putting the ministry plans that He laid on our heart to a stop. Sue was just holding on to them so tightly she was getting ahead of Him. We are trusting that Geta and the girls’ situations is temporary and that God will restore their family. Please pray for this family…that her husband would seek counsel and repent, that Geta would find forgiveness in her heart for him and that the girls would not be so negatively affected by the circumstances.

God causes all things to work together…
