I am confident, that the decision to postpone the start day is of God and not man. Although, we are still only half way to meeting our financial needs, this is not the reason for the hold up; we know that where God guides he provides. It was because of a clear word from the Lord and a decrease in urgency.
A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. – Proverbs 16:9
Because of the educational choices of both Ioana and Angela, they no longer have to leave the orphanage. You see, if they do not attend the state university (which they were not able), they forfeit the financial benefits provided for orphans. However, if they stay in the orphanage and attend schools of their choosing, their financial assistance will continue. We still very much believe that they would be better off with us even though they lose the financial assistance, but the girls themselves do not. They desire to leave and start their adult life with us, but are not quite confident enough to step out. Gratefully, discipleship is still happening with the both of them weekly and our girl’s ministry has grown to 5 girls from the orphanage.
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ – Philippians 1:16
Our vision still hasn’t changed and we are sure that God will bring it to fruition. We are still working to reach our financial goal of $1100 a month so that we will be available for any girls God sends our way and for Ioana and Angela when they are ready to move out. We want to be prepared as soon as possible, as crisis situations come up daily with our ministry partners.
