The very first young lady to enter our program gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and named him Antonio. She was doing very well with us, learning how to care for her child, relearning educational fundamentals in preparation to enter school and learning about Christ. Unfortunately her ex-boyfriend covertly re-entered her life and she decided to secretly get back into a relationship with him, however he is not in Romania.
Not long after her departure, she found a room to rent from some friends and was living off the government trust that she received upon leaving the orphanage. In less then 3 weeks, the money is gone, she got kicked out and we have no idea where she is now. The boyfriend has yet to return to Oradea to support her, and as far as we know he has also not found legitimate employment. We are trusting in God to protect her and her baby during this time. We have given her a 6-month grace period to return and receive the full support of our program again. Please be praying she does return. If not, we still have faith that the Word of the Lord never returns void and that it permeated her heart during her time here.
This was a heartbreaking experience for me. I trusted that God knew this would happen yet I so wanted to protected them but most of all protect Antonio from a mom that is not equipped to parent. Although there was much unsettledness in my heart, I pressed on with my colleagues trusting that this was all part of God’s plan for this ministry. Just in the last week, we have been made aware of three young mothers-to-be in need of our ministry’s support. Two of which have approached us directly. One is moving in as I type. As of right now, we have just enough consistent support to cover our rent, utilities and basic living expenses, for which we are so grateful to God and His faithful servants.
For each girl and her baby, we will need $325 in additional monthly support. As we take in this young lady in faith, we trust that God will use you to provide for her care. God has always been faithful to provide our needs thus far. We trust completely that our God will never fail us.
Please consider partnering with our ministry to bring hope into the lives of the least of these. Your monthly support brings a hope & a future to these young women and their babies. They are dying for the truth of our Lord and Savior’s redeeming love. We are called to be His arms and His voice to the orphans & widows, but we cannot do this without your support. Donate now.
Grace and peace,
Sue Volpe & Soar Ministries.
